Peter's Guesthouse offers bed and breakfast accommodation in Equestria, Pretoria. Equestria is located to the east of Pretoria close to the N1 which is very handy for traveling into the Pretoria CBD. Situated in the middle of a security complex - safe and quiet! The guesthouse offers 10 en-suite rooms with air conditioning, DSTV, coffee/tea facilities and free wireless internet. 6 Rooms have private entrances and 9 rooms have double doors to the garden. All rooms are equipped with baths (with hand shower) in the bathroom and 4 of the rooms have a separate shower as well. Peter's Guesthouse has a beautiful garden, lapa, barbeque facilities and a pool and there is safe under cover parking for your car. Our location in in Equestria makes it the perfect stop over for those with business in the Pretoria CBD or for tourists who need easy access into the city to enjoy the many historical sites that Pretoria has to offer. Peter’s Guesthouse is situated in the middle of Peter’s Place, a security complex with controlled access and 24hr security patrols. Our guesthouse is not affected by power-outages thanks to our state-of-the-art, fully integrated Solar Energy system. Our bed and breakfast has a "home away from home" atmosphere and is a very special place - come and see for yourself!

Equestria is situated in the Greater Pretoria area in Gauteng, South Africa. It is an upmarket sought after town with beautiful tree lined streets. It is a popular town with townhouses dominating the area which makes it a great ‘starter home’ opportunity. It is a fast growing town with lots to offer. It is also close to all amenities which makes it convenient.

Attractions:
There are many attractions nearby to Equestria and the Menlyn Mall is one of the closer malls and is very popular amongst locals and visitors from all over. The mall has everything under one roof for all ages. There’s a variety of shops and exhibitions to enjoy as well as movies to choose from and Go Karts for the more energetic. The Barnyard Theatre offers many shows and entertainment for everyone. The Pioneer Museum in Silverton is an interesting visit for the whole family too. It is set in a beautifully refurbished farm house which shows how the families lived in the old days. You will also get to see how the families made bread, roasted coffee and had to grind their own wheat. Another museum in the area is the Sammy Marks Museum. This museum is set in a beautiful Victorian Style house. The museum is open to the public and there is a tea garden where you and your family can relax and have a picnic. You can also try your hand at a game of croquet which is one of the popular sports that were enjoyed back in those days. The Union Building is not open to the public but the beautifully manicured gardens that surround these buildings is a great place to set up a picnic and admire the sandstone building which holds much history behind its walls.

Climate:
Equestria is situated in the Gauteng area and enjoys warm to hot summers with afternoon thunderstorms, often accompanied by hail. The winter months offer sunny but cool days with temperatures dropping considerably in the evenings.

Terms & Conditions

  1. The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
  2. Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
  3. If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
    Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving.
  4. The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
  5. The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
  6. The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
  7. The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
